A figure written without a month in it is a guess. The same lodge on a lake in Oklahoma costs one thing in April, when the operator is trying to fill the shoulder, and another in July, when it is not. So the desk answers with questions before it answers with a figure, and there are only four of them. You can request a trip quote 24/7, because the form takes those four answers whenever you happen to have them. Everything else can be settled later, in writing, at whatever pace suits you.
None of the four requires you to know anything about the destination. They are the things only you can supply. The desk supplies the rest: what the operating company charges, what is bundled into the rate, what is billed separately on the ground, what the transfer adds, and where the number moves if you shift the dates by two weeks.
The four answers that turn a question into a number
- A month, or a pair of months
- Rates on the same room can move several hundred dollars between the edge of a season and the middle of it. Two months side by side lets the desk price both and show you the gap.
- Which access step you want
- Five steps are described on how a booking is put together, from at-the-door, where the car stops where you sleep, to no-road, reached by water on a timetable weather closes. Name the one you want and the one you would rather avoid.
- How much you intend to carry
- Whether your bags ride the whole way or you carry them for an hour changes which properties are on the list, and it changes what the transfer costs. Say a number of bags, or say you have not decided.
- A rough ceiling per person
- A figure, or a range, or the word "flexible." The catalog runs $1,640 to $3,640 and a ceiling stops the desk sending you five things you were never going to book.
Nothing here is binding. People change months, change steps and change their minds about bags between the first message and the booking, and that is the ordinary shape of the work. A revised figure costs you another message.
The four days after you press send

- A written figure reaches youTwo to four working days from the first message. It states the per-person price, what is included, what is billed on the ground, and what the number does if the dates move.
- You decide, or you do notIf you want it, the desk sets up the booking with the operating company and their terms govern the money. If you do not, the file closes and nothing further is sent.
The office charges you nothing for any of that. Payment comes from the operating company as a commission after travel, which is worth stating plainly because it explains why there is no deposit link anywhere on this page. Four things nobody is going to ask you for
No card number. Not on this form, not in the reply, not before you have a written figure in front of you and have said yes to it. Anyone asking otherwise is not this office.
No deposit to hold a price. A quoted figure holds for as long as the operating company holds it, and the reply says so in writing. When it expires, the desk re-prices it.
No clock. There is no clock running on this page and there will not be one in the reply. If a room genuinely goes, you will be told it went, which is a different thing from being told to move fast.
Nothing about your health. The desk does not ask about knees, lungs, age or fitness, and does not offer a view on whether a given walk suits you. What the desk supplies is the distance, the ground and the time it took people carrying bags. What you do with that is between you and whoever knows your body. The same goes for conditions in a place: the operating company briefs you and local authorities post what they post, and the desk repeats those rather than issuing its own verdict.
